"It"

I imagine you're all wondering whether we've made any progress on "it". Well, we have. Some. "It" is truly developing a presence of its own. We feel ourselves engulfed in its tractor beam. Helpless, we must wake up every Saturday and Sunday morning and continue building wall, regardless of mood or competing interests.

We've had a couple of work parties lately, and our friends have gone out of their way to drive out here to Lyons on precious weekends. Thank you, friends! There will certainly be more work parties this summer, and we hope you'll continue to join in on the fun! (the term 'fun' is used loosely here)

Our goal is to complete the project by October 9th (my birthday). We shall see.

Also take note of our cute little jobsite garden! We've got about 100 (still green) cherry tomatoes on three plants, ten or twelve hot peppers on one plant, and a mysterious monster of a squash plant with eight or ten "things" on it. That one is a volunteer...who knows if it will even be edible.
