Back in the Kitchen

Wow, over a week since our last posting. That's lame. Here's a lovely photo of Gretchen's most recent sourdough loaf. It's byu-tee-ful. It rose much more nicely than any of her earlier loaves.
The next photo is all three of our bread-type creations made today. I made two loaves of banana bread. The more traditional-looking one (at the bottom of the photo) was sweetened only with honey. Well, and natural banana sugars, of course. The more common recipe that I use sweetens with brown sugar and sucanat.
The cars are just some fancy ones that we saw in the parking lot of the pinball joint last weekend. We're not usually fond of automobiles, in general, but we couldn't help but acknowledge these beauties.
I didn't take any photos of it, but we bottled the House Ale this evening as well. It tastes just fine, if a bit like hopwater. We'll give it a couple of weeks to carbonate and see what we've got!

It's very hard to comment on bread and fancy cars. It's just so surreal almost like a drunk dream where nothing happens for an eternity.
Wow! That is some fine looking bread!
This blog makes me hungry and thirsty on a regular basis.
Sigh.
Happy Holidays, in that War on Christmas kinda way!
Love, Peace, Namaste,
Howard
Hey man,
A belated "Merry Christmas" to you!
Too bad you couldn't have made it back east this time...
